Protect your smile while you play.
A properly fitted sports mouthguard helps protect your teeth and soft tissues from impact during contact and high-impact sports.
Made for your teeth. Made for your sport.
Unlike a generic shop-bought gum shield or boil-and-bite mouthguard, a custom sports guard is made to fit the individual shape of your teeth.
We take an accurate record of your teeth and your mouthguard is then professionally manufactured for a close, secure fit. The result is a guard designed to stay comfortably in place while you’re training or competing.
Custom sports guards are a great option for adults, teenagers and children involved in contact or high-impact sports.

What is a custom sports mouthguard?
A custom sports mouthguard is individually made to fit your teeth rather than being a standard one-size-fits-all product. This provides a close and secure fit while you train or compete.
What sports are sports guards suitable for?
Sports mouthguards are commonly worn for rugby, boxing, martial arts, hockey and many other contact or high-impact sports. If you’re unsure whether you need one for your sport, speak to our dental team
What are your sports guards made from?
Our custom sports guards are manufactured using durable 4mm EVA material, designed to provide shock absorption while remaining comfortable to wear.
Can I choose the colour?
Yes. There is a wide selection of colours available, including black, white, blue, turquoise, green, yellow, orange, red, pink and lilac. Other colour requests may also be possible.
Are sports guards suitable for children?
Yes. Custom sports guards can be made for children and teenagers as well as adults. Because children’s teeth and jaws are still developing, the fit should be checked regularly and the guard replaced when necessary.
Can I have a sports mouthguard if I wear braces?
Please let us know when booking if you wear fixed braces or another orthodontic appliance. The dentist can advise whether a sports guard is appropriate and which type would be most suitable.
How long will my sports guard last?
Yes. We offer discounted pricing for sports clubs and group orders. Contact us with the approximate number of players or members requiring mouthguards and we can discuss the available options.
How do I get a custom sports guard?
Book an appointment at Shmile Dentist Bromley. We’ll assess your teeth, take the records required for your custom mouthguard and explain the next steps.
